Syllable Awareness is an essential skill in the early developmental stages of reading. The ability to break up words into their syllables assists children with their attempts to read and spell longer words.
In this spring themed activity, students are required to look at the picture or the word and count how many syllables it has. Students then pin a peg or clothespin to the correct amount of syllables.
